We, in Syrian Human Rights Organization- SWASIAH, received the news of the detention of Ales Bialiastski, FIDH vice president and president of the Viasna Human Rights Centre, in Belarus in August, 4th, 2011 with a big concern about his physical and psychological integrity.

SWASIAH calls upon the authorities in Belarus to take prompt action in order to release Mr. Ales Bialiastski immediately.
